  • Open Door Ministry

    Thursday, August 15 at 3:40pm (at church) or 4pm (at Open Door)

    Join us to help Open Door Ministry on Michigan Avenue in Canton. This is a great opportunity to make a difference with your kids by your side! Share meaningful time together in a friendly, fun, and safe environment, being the hands and feet of Jesus to a hurting world. Please contact Brenda for additional details.

  • UNSTOPPABLE

    Friday, August 16, 6:30-8:00pm in the youth room

    We will have pizza, games, and faith-building activities for elementary-age kids, 1st-5th grade. Bring your friends!

  • Annual Golf Outing

    Sunday, August 18 at Salem Hills Golf Course

    Join us for great fellowship, prizes, and food! You can play 9 or 18 holes. Bring your own foursome or we can pair you up with like-type players. The cost is $47 for 18 holes or $40 for 9 holes (both include dinner). Mark “Golf Outing” on your check. Questions?   • GriefShare

    Thursday evenings, 6:30-8:15pm beginning August 29 or

    Wednesday mornings, 10:00-11:45am beginning September 4

    GriefShare is ideal for anyone working through the grief process (loss of a child, spouse, parent, sibling or friend) regardless of when the loss occurred. Each session is 13 weeks and costs $20 for materials.   • Rally Day Picnic

    Sunday, September 8 from 1:00-3:00pm

    Fellowship, food, and fun for everyone! Invite your friends, neighbors, coworkers and their families. Chicken and beverages will be provided. Bring a side dish to pass with its list of ingredients as a courtesy for those with food allergies. Volunteers are needed! Please contact Dawn Kersten at 734.363.2003.

  • Alpha

    Tuesdays, Sept 10 - Nov 19 from 6:30-9:00pm in the gym

    (Alpha Retreat: Saturday, October 19 from 9:00am-3:00pm)

    Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. We start every meeting with food, because it’s a great way to encourage community and get to know each other! Then, there's a talk, which explores the big issues around faith and Christianity. We conclude with discussion, the chance to reflect on the topic and share our thoughts in a small, friendly group.     Various meeting days, times, and locations are available! 

    Let's do our Christian Life together! Groups gather to study, pray, and grow together.   • Summer Sunday School

    June through August!

    Upbeat and summer-themed for kids (ages 5 through 3rd grade) to enjoy while parents attend the 9:00 and 11:00am church services. Also seeking volunteer teachers! Lessons and materials will  be provided. A sign-up sheet is posted on the Sunday School office window. Contact Brenda Stilley if you have any questions.

    • Feb 26: Ash Wednesday Service only. No Recharge dinner or programs.
    • Mar 4 - Apr 1: Lent soup and salad dinners. Revised Recharge schedule during Lent will include Confirmation, Teen Choir, Elementary Choir, Leaping Lambs, and Sonbeams.

  • Brown's Ministry Service Days

    Saturday, September 14, 8:15am-1:00pm

    Help this multifaceted ministry in Midtown Detroit. Work typically includes food sorting and packaging, odd jobs, and outside and inside cleaning. Meet at church, ride together in the van. Contact Paul Ingram or the church office to sign up.

  • Discovering St. Michael

    Sunday, September 29 at 10:15am in the Dorcas room

    This 45-minute informal session provides details about our church, Christian community, and what we believe. It's a great way to see if you want to explore membership. No RSVP needed.

  • The Bridge Retreat

    Saturday, October 12 at 9:30am in the Abraham room

    This two-hour class is the heart of the new member process. It addresses the three "C's" of connection: Connected to Jesus, Connected to Others, and Connected to Ministry/Growth. The retreats are held three times a year. Please RSVP to the church office at 734-459-3333. 

  • DivorceCare

    Beginning Sunday, October 13 from 5:00-6:30pm in the library

    DivorceCare is a 13-week, Christ-centered divorce support group with a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone. Register by calling 734-459-3333 or emailing officeadmin@smlucanton.org. Cost for materials is $15.

  • Free Family Movie Night

    Friday, October 18 at 7:00pm in the gym

    Movie TBD ~ A fun evening with your friends and family! Pizza slices are $1.00 and snacks are $0.25 each. Bring a blanket, chair, or whatever you need to get comfy on the gym floor. Community welcome!

  • Call To Pray

    The church sanctuary is open for prayer Monday through Friday 6-7am. Come for 15 minutes or 60 minutes to pray for your needs, your church, or your nation. Read your Bible or spend quiet time. For more information or questions, contact Joyce Hopkins through the church office.
