  • Good Friday Prayer Vigil

    Friday, April 19 starting at 8:00pm - Saturday, April 20 ending at 1:00am

    Our goal is to have continued prayer for 5 hours. Prayer cards that were submitted by members of our congregation will be available upon entering the Sanctuary. You can take a few to pray over and/or pray over anything that the Lord may lay upon your heart. If you are able to commit to a specific half hour time period, please sign up on the Prayer Vigil poster which is now located in the lobby. If you are unable to commit to a specific time period, come whenever you are able. You may sit anywhere in the Sanctuary and stay as long as you'd like.


    If you have a prayer request or praise report, prayer cards are now available in the lobby or downloadable here for you to complete and submit. Or, click HERE if you would like to submit your prayer request online.

  • Good Friday Men’s Breakfast

    Friday, April 19, 8:00-10:00am in the gym

    Men of all ages! Gather for Christian fellowship, a breakfast buffet, and hear an inspirational message by R. York Moore. Tickets are now on sale in lobby after every service.   • Easter Egg Hunt!

    Saturday, April 20, 9:30-10:30am

    A celebration of Jesus’ resurrection for kids with a Gospel show, music, prizes, crafts, and an egg hunt! There will be 1,000+ eggs for kids to find, including allergy-free. Every child will receive a stuffed animal or toy and lots of candy! Ages 5th grade and under. Free event! Invite your friends!

  • Israel without Jet Lag

    Wednesdays, April 24 and May 1, 6:30pm in the Chapel

    Journey through the Holy Land with Pastor Dave as he shares stories and pictures of their recent experience in Israel.

  • Free Family Movie Night

    Friday, April 26, 7:00pm in the gym ~ Mary Poppins Returns

    A fun evening with your friends and family! Pizza slices are $1.00 and snacks are $0.25 each. Bring a blanket, chair, or whatever you need to get comfy on the gym floor. Community welcome!

  • Family Outreach Event: Kids Coalition Against Hunger

    Saturday, April 27, 9:30am in the gym

    Gather your family and friends for this inspiring outreach event that helps feed hungry children in our local community and in Guatemala. This is our church's 9th year sponsoring; last year, people of all ages helped package over 30,000 meals in under 2 hours! There are three ways you help: 1) pray for those who need this food and for our event, 2) volunteer to package the nutritious, dehydrated food packets, 3) make a personal donation to help cover the cost of the food products. A sign-up sheet and offering envelopes will be posted to the Parish Life Bulletin Board starting the weekend of March 30th. For more information call Andrea Anderson on 734-788-9113.

    Join us at the church as we pray for unity and seek God’s heart for our nation.

  • Card Making

    Saturday, May 4, 9:30am-12:00pm in the Sarah room

    This is an opportunity for fun and fellowship for women! Please see the Women's Ministry board for more information. Sign up by Wednesday, May 1 to ensure we have enough supplies. $6 will cover the cost of making 3 cards. Bring payment and a tape runner on the day of the event.

  • Discovering St. Michael

    Sunday, May 5 at 10:15am in the Dorcas room

    This 45-minute informal session provides details about our church, Christian community, and what we believe. It's a great way to see if you want to explore membership. No RSVP needed.

  • Keep It Shut

    Three sessions are offered: 1) Monday mornings at 10:00am, 2) Monday evenings at 7:00pm, or 3) Saturday mornings at 10:00am. We will meet in the Abraham room beginning May 6 and 11 through June 3 and 8. All ages 5th grade and up are encouraged to join this study about what to say, how to say it, and when to say nothing at all. It’s a good study for mothers and daughters. It will have video presentations with short discussions. Sign up on the Women’s Ministry board. 

  • Spring Elderversity Luncheon

    Thursday, May 9, 12:30pm in the gym

    It's time for our Elderversity members and friends to celebrate spring with a luncheon (following Senior Bible Study) and special musical performance by Pastor Drex Morton. Tickets are $10 per person. Reservations can be made through the church office through May 6.

  • The Bridge Retreat

    Thursday, May 16, 6:30-8:30pm

    If you would like to become a member of St. Michael Lutheran Church, please attend this class. It is the heart of the new member process and offered three times a year - fall, winter, and spring. New members need to attend only one retreat, which is lead by one of our pastors. Please RSVP by contacting the church office. 

  • UNSTOPPABLE

    Friday, May 17, 6:00-8:30pm in the youth room

    We will have pizza, games, and faith-building activities for elementary-age kids, 1st-5th grade. Bring your friends!

  • Brown's Ministry Service Days

    Saturday, May 18, 8:15am-1:00pm

    (Next dates: June 8, July 13)

    Help this multifaceted ministry in Midtown Detroit. Work typically includes food sorting and packaging, odd jobs, and outside and inside cleaning. Meet at church, ride together in the van. Contact Paul Ingram or the church office to sign up.

    • Dec 6 - Jan 2 - Advent - No Recharge. Musical Practice, Youth Choirs, Dance. 
    • Jan 9 - Recharge starts back up
    • Mar 6 - Ash Wednesday Service only. No Recharge dinner or programs.
    • Mar 13 - Apr 10 - Lent soup and salad dinners served. Revised Recharge schedule during Lent will include Confirmation, Teen Choir, Elementary Choir, Leaping Lambs, and Sonbeams. 
    • Apr 17 - No Recharge
    • Apr 24 - Recharge starts back up
    • May 15 - Final day of Wednesday activities
  • Vacation Bible School

    Monday, July 22 through Thursday, July 25 from 5:30-8:00pm

    Save the date for this year's Vacation Bible School! Ages Pre-K (must be potty-trained) through 5th grade. STAY TUNED for registration and more information!

  • The Property Team is looking for help!

    This is a chance to participate in something on your own timeline. You can adopt a project or a flower bed. Contact Gregg King for more info gregg.king@canton-mi.org.

  • Small Group Bible Study

    If you would like to be part of a small group, this is the time to join one. New members are being added to groups now. Please contact Pr. Dave or the church office if you are interested 734-459-3333.

  • MOPS

    MOPS, a program to connect moms who are pregnant and / or have children newborn through kindergarten, is underway. Meetings are 1st and 3rd Tues of the month through May from 9-11:30am. You do not have to be a St. Michael member to join, so invite your friends. 


    MOPS Shepherds needed to care for the children while their moms attend the program. Any time commitment is appreciated, even once a month or a willingness to be a substitute. For more info, contact Andrea House at andreastith@yahoo.com.

  • Call To Pray

    The church sanctuary is open for prayer Monday through Friday 6-7am. Come for 15 minutes or 60 minutes to pray for your needs, your church, or your nation. Read your Bible or spend quiet time. For more information or questions, contact Joyce Hopkins through the church office.
