High School

We equip young people with the tools to establish a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ. We strive for a Christ centered life through fellowship, service, study, and worship. Romans 12:2 says we are not to conform to the ways of the world but to be transformed by God. We are high school students in pursuit of this counter cultural message. We meet to strengthen our relationship with Jesus Christ through Bible study, worship, and fellowship with the goal of loving God and loving others.

Here is a sample list of activities that happen through the year:

  • Worship and Coffee – Sunday nights every other month. Free coffee bar and contemporary, spirit-filled worship for 6-12th grade.
  • Nerf Wars – All out Nerf war where students team up and play using capture the flag rules. Periodically through the school year, 6th-12th graders.
  • Last Day of School Party – right after school for 6-12th grades. Food and lawn games and fun! (June each year.)
  • Annual Springhill retreat – group trip to refresh, energize, worship, and have fun.

Study:

  • Sunday school – 9:30-10:30am every Sunday during the school year. Youth room, led by Michelle and Dave Snyder.
  • Youth Group – every Thursday from 7-9pm, year-round. Youth room during the school year, outside during the summer. Bible study and discussion and the occasional game and shenanigan.
  • Sisterhood - girls fellowship group for 6-12 grades. Pizza, fun activities, and bible study. The mission of Sisterhood Bible Study is to develop and foster teen girls' relationship with God and each other through fellowship and fun. The outcome is for all to build in friendship, love, encouragement, accountability, and to become life long sisters in Christ.

Service:

  • Youth Mission Trip – one week each summer. Students work with community members and organizations, often out of state, to provide for their practical needs. They also minister to those they work through sharing their hope in Christ, devotions, or by hosting a VBS program for kids.
  • Annual Rummage Sale – held for three days in the summer. All proceeds go to support the youth mission trip. All leftover items donated to a church in Dearborn, so they can have their own sale.
  • Open Door Ministry – packing and distributing food for those in need.
  • Nursing Home Stockings – making stockings for nursing home residents to be filled with gifts.
  • Kids Against Hunger – annual food packing project for those in need.
