What we Believe
Our church family believes and confesses our faith in the Triune God. We believe in God the Father, the Creator of all things. We believe in Jesus Christ, God the Son, as our Lord and Savior. We believe in God the Holy Spirit, our Guide and Counselor. We believe and confess that all human beings are sinners, and that sinners are redeemed by faith through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God alone justifies human beings by faith in Christ - a faith that God creates through the message of the good news about Jesus. We believe that we are ambassadors for Christ and that God uses us to come alongside others to teach God’s Word and proclaim the coming of His Kingdom. We believe and confess that the Bible is God's revealed Word to us. God’s Word, the Bible, is the final authority for us in all matters of our faith and life.
The Scriptures and our Lutheran theology direct us to two sacraments, Baptism and Holy Communion. These acts are directed by Scripture, promise God's grace, and are intended for all people.
1. Baptism: We practice both infant and adult baptism. We believe Baptism in the name of Jesus is God's outward, visible sign of the covenant He desires for all. We do not believe that Baptism saves - only faith in Jesus has salvation consequences.
2. Holy Communion: Holy Communion is the "real presence" of Jesus as He promised at the Last Supper. Somehow in, with, and under the bread and wine He is present. We also believe one must know (or be of an age to discern) this means of grace. We therefore offer the sacrament to those 10 years old and above who have had instruction in the meaning of the sacrament.
Our Mission: To connect people to the living God.
Vision Statement: We empower everyone to grow their relationship with
Jesus and connect to the living God in every stage and season of life by:
• Pointing people to Jesus' unconditional love and grace.
• Inviting all generations to consistently put God at the center of their lives.
• Being a healthy community where we look more like Jesus everyday.
• Transforming the world by sharing our love of Christ near and far.

Other Beliefs:
We also believe that marriage was ordained by God at creation as the sacred union of one man and one woman. All sexual relations must therefore be reserved for that union. Christian marriage is a representation of Christ's relationship to His church. We also believe that children are a blessing from the Lord. Thus, all human life is sacred and worthy of protection.
This congregation is an independent part of Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC).
