Tuesday, December 5th COME, LORD JESUS! The Latin word adventus means “coming”. Some of the last words in Scripture are “Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20b) Thus the season of Advent begins with the end in mind. We enter the new Church Year with our eyes fixed on the end. From the manger to the cross, Jesus did everything necessary to redeem mankind. Advent enables us to prepare and understand the true significance of Christmas, when Jesus came the first time and reminds us to prepare and yearn for his second coming – Come, Lord Jesus! Women, join us for this special Advent by Candlelight program on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 7pm. Please bring an appetizer (last names A-M) or dessert (last names N-Z). Hostess table sign-ups begin at the end of October on the Women’s Board and guests can sign up to attend mid-November on the Women’s Board.
